Job Summary:

Metaform Industries LLC is seeking a highly competent and experienced

Project Manager - Data Center

to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of mission-critical data center projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in

MEP systems

,

power infrastructure

,

cooling

,

fire protection

, and

IT/server room integration

, with proven experience managing complex data center builds and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the full lifecycle of

data center projects

including greenfield, brownfield, and upgrade projects from design to commissioning. Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams (MEP, civil, electrical, IT) and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and resource allocations. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as

Uptime Institute Tier classifications

,

TIA-942

,

ASHRAE

, and local authority regulations. Review design documents, shop drawings, and method statements; ensure alignment with project scope and technical specifications. Supervise the installation of

electrical distribution

UPS systems

,

generators

,

chillers/CRAC units

,

fire detection/suppression

, and

security systems

. Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and implement strict project controls. Interface with clients, consultants, and stakeholders; conduct progress meetings and prepare reports. Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover processes for all systems. Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and quality standards throughout the project duration.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or related field. Minimum 8 years of project management experience in construction or infrastructure, with at least 4 years focused on

data center projects

. Strong understanding of

power backup systems (UPS, DG sets)

,

cooling systems (precision ACs, chillers)

,

structured cabling

, and

fire suppression systems

. Familiarity with Tier I-IV certification standards and Uptime Institute criteria is a must. Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and other project management tools. PMP, PRINCE2, or Data Center-related certifications (e.g., CDCP, CDCS) are an added advantage. Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
