Job Description

General Description of Role and Responsibilities: Act as a central point of contact for all project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, clients, and regulatory authorities. Facilitate regular communication among these parties to ensure everyone is on the same page regarding project goals, timelines, and requirements.

Maintain detailed project records, including meeting minutes, project plans, contracts, change orders, and other relevant documents. Ensure all parties have access to the latest project information. Monitor project timelines and milestones. Identify potential delays or issues and work with relevant parties to address and resolve them. Keep the project on track and within the established schedule. Assist in tracking project expenses and budget allocations. Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial accountability and cost control. Stay informed about local building codes, permits, and regulations. Ensure that the project complies with all necessary legal requirements and permits. Help in the permit application process if required. Act as a mediator in resolving disputes or issues that may arise during the construction process. Work to find mutually beneficial solutions and avoid project delays. Monitor the quality of work during construction and ensure that it meets the specified standards and specifications. Coordinate inspections and testing as necessary. Identify and mitigate potential risks that could affect the project's progress. Develop contingency plans to address unexpected challenges. Prepare regular progress reports for project stakeholders, including management and clients. Provide updates on project status, budget, and timeline. Make periodic site visits to assess progress, address concerns, and ensure safety and compliance with project plans. Oversee and manage the relationships with various contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure that they adhere to project requirements and timelines. Gather feedback from project stakeholders and use it to make necessary adjustments to improve project performance. Utilize project management and communication software to streamline project processes and facilitate efficient information sharing. Perform other duties as assigned by the client and the line manager. This role reports to the Program Director. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills: Bachelors degree in civil engineering, Construction Management or equivalent. At least 5+ years of experience in working with local authorities in Oman working on important land development, transport and infrastructure projects. Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word. Excellent command of written and spoken English.
