Ref code: CR_2208-122_ PROJECT EXPEDITOR Job Summary The PROJECT EXPEDITOR will work under the supervision of the Project Manager. He/ she will work with suppliers and subcontractors to oversee the timely production and delivery of materials in the quantity and quality ordered; furthermore, he /she will direct materials management and logistics for the project, mainly procuring supplies and materials as well as materials delivery and storage. The person we are looking for must be able to work efficiently under pressure, prioritize tasks and always meet deadlines. He/ she has an ability to generate and keep up-to-date established procedures and processes. We are selecting for more than one role and several degrees of seniority. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar position
  • Experience in the OFFSHORE/ ONSHORE sectors
  • To be familiar with projects equipment/ materials major components and usage
  • Capability in identifying fabrication bottlenecks and program analysis to give inputs to recommendations for better performance
  • To have an in-depth understanding of commercial and contractual issues related to the procurement of goods
  • Proven track experience in using Office automation (such as Word, Excel) Outlook; working knowledge of other IT software and systems is a plus
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
  • Work with different heads of department to monitor inventory levels, assess supply vendors and ensure that delivered supplies meet quality standards
  • To work in the overall materials procurement aspect, fabrication programs interpretation and analysis, progress verification and reporting, have familiarity with other fabrication aspects (such as vendor’s quality surveillance and shipping major related procedures and methods for projects in oil & gas, chemical industries with multi-interfaces with engineering)
  • Contact vendors, place orders, verify supplies, manage supply requisition, and communicate with suppliers to determine expected delivery dates and inform Project Managers of potential delays
  • Maintain production schedules for ongoing projects, assign materials and employees to reduce cost, boost productivity and prevent delays that can affect the delivery
  • Ensure compliance of the Company’s Supply Chain (SC) procedures and project-specific Material Management (Procurement) plan
  • Confirm supplier’s understanding of all deliverables and that the supplier’s submission or delivery requirements match the project/operation expectations
  • Review and analyze supplier’s document and data submittal plans
  • Obtain a copy of the supplier’s production schedule and confirm that the supplier has a complete and capable plan for meeting the delivery requirements
  • Evaluate the supplier’s plans and ability to meet the schedule
  • Identify potential and actual disruptions in the supplier’s submission and delivery schedules
  • Develop and present to the management alternatives for the supplier to improve performance
  • Lead or support the implementation of selected actions to avoid or minimize the impact of supplier schedule disruptions on delivery
  • Coordinate material transportation requirement with third-party freight forwarder as per agreed shipping terms on Purchase Order
  • Authorize freight invoices, receive order arrivals and input shipment status in the dedicated Procurement system.
  • Monitor project delivery timelines, check work quality against company requirements and specifications and ensure compliance with regulations and procedures
  • Collect, record and report project performance and progress to management and key stakeholders, updates on delivery timelines
