We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
Project Engineer
to join our team for the
Al Mamsha Seerah Project
. The Project Engineer will assist the Construction Manager/Site Manager in the execution of road construction works, ensuring timely completion within budget, meeting quality standards, and adhering to all safety and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Supervision & Coordination
Assist the Construction Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising site construction activities.
Monitor daily site progress and promptly report any issues or delays.
Review and brief drawings, specifications, and method statements to site teams before commencing work.
Ensure that all materials used in permanent works are approved and conform to project requirements.
Supervise construction activities to ensure quality, safety, and productivity targets are achieved.
Check that all activities comply with project HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.
Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) as per approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
Prepare daily site reports highlighting progress, delays, and resource requirements, and submit to Construction Management.
Quality & Documentation
Liaise with the QA/QC department to resolve and close out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) promptly.
Implement quality control measures specific to road works and ensure adherence to company standards.
Maintain site records, documentation, and reports in accordance with the company's management system.
Provide input to planning teams for construction schedules and progress reports.
EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Responsibilities
Ensure full implementation of the EHS Construction Management Plan (EHS-CMP) within the assigned area.
Conduct safety inductions and risk assessments for all site personnel.
Enforce compliance with site regulations, Permit to Work (PTW) systems, and high-risk activity procedures.
Report all accidents, incidents, and near misses in accordance with company and client procedures.
Promote safety awareness and conduct regular toolbox talks to maintain a safe working environment.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are inspected, approved, and stored safely.
Ensure construction chemicals are handled and used as per their Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Collaboration & Communication
Coordinate daily with the Construction Manager/Site Manager to monitor and report on work progress.
Liaise with Technical, QA/QC, and Planning departments for RFIs, shop drawings, NCR/CAR closures, and CVIs.
Work closely with subcontractors to ensure timely and quality delivery of assigned works.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of experience as a Project Engineer in road or infrastructure construction.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, method statements, and ITPs.
Sound knowledge of HSE procedures, QA/QC processes, and site management practices.
Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and construction management software.
