Job Description

A Project Engineer supervises and coordinates the day-to-day activities and progress on a construction site. This includes managing on-site resources, contractors and personnel, and health and safety.

Project Engineer roles and responsibilities include:

Contributing to the project planning by liaising with the client, contractors, and principal designer. Assisting with the procurement processes, planning resources, and coordinating subcontractors and suppliers. Coordinating site meetings and visits. Managing the day-to-day running of the site, including coordinating contractors, monitoring materials, organizing equipment, and scheduling deliveries. Supervising the on-site team, including construction workers, subcontractors, and other on-site staff. Solving any problems or challenges that arise on-site. Monitoring and mitigating any risks arising on-site. Managing health and safety, including compliance with UAE regulations, the Health and Safety file, site safety inspections, and addressing any safety concerns or incidents that arise on-site. Adhering to quality standards and any applicable building codes and regulations. Obtaining relevant permits and licenses. Keeping the project to its timescales by managing the construction schedule. Budgeting and managing project costs. Providing progress reports and regularly communicating with the client and project team. Ability to manage multiple projects with urgent deadlines.

Requirements and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction management or related field Proven minimum 2 years work experience as a Project Engineer in Lanscape works Familiarity with construction tools and equipment. Knowledge of health and safety standards. Strong leadership qualities. Good analytical and communication skills Ability to work for long hours Ability to interpret technical documents and blueprints Critical thinker and possessing troubleshooting ability. Detail-oriented and a team player
