Job Description

Position Summary



The Project Engineer will be

fully responsible (whole & sole) for planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and completing all interior fit-out, joinery, MEP, and renovation projects

. This role ensures that all work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards while coordinating closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities



1. Project Planning & Mobilization



Review project drawings, specifications, BOQ, contracts, and scope of work. Develop complete project execution plans, timelines, and schedules. Arrange resources, manpower, materials, tools, and equipment for mobilization. Prepare weekly and monthly project programs.

2. Full Site Execution & Coordination



Lead and manage all site activities from start to final handover. Ensure daily supervision of tasks, workmanship, and progress. Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors. Resolve site issues immediately to avoid delays or rework. Ensure proper sequencing and smooth workflow between civil, joinery, MEP, painting, flooring, and other trades.

3. Quality Control



Ensure all works meet company standards and client expectations. Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions. Verify installation quality of joinery, gypsum, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and finishing works.

4. Material & Procurement Management



Prepare material request schedules in advance according to project timelines. Coordinate with procurement for timely material deliveries. Verify quantity, quality, and installation of materials on site.

5. Client Communication & Reporting



Act as the main point of contact for the client/consultant. Attend weekly site meetings and prepare progress reports. Update management with daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards. Manage variations, approvals, and client instructions.

6. Financial & Cost Control



Monitor project budget and control unnecessary expenses. Track material usage, manpower productivity, and subcontractor costs. Prevent wastage, reworks, and delays to protect project profitability.

7. HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Compliance



Ensure all workers follow safety regulations and PPE requirements. Conduct toolbox talks and enforce safety procedures. Report and address hazards, incidents, and safety violations.

8. Handover & Completion



Ensure all snag lists are completed before final handover. Prepare as-built drawings, warranties, completion documents. Hand over the project formally to clients and authorities.

9. Team Leadership



Guide, mentor, and supervise site teams. Assign daily duties and ensure accountability. Maintain professional discipline and teamwork on site.

Qualifications & Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field. Minimum 5-10 years of experience in

interior fit-out / joinery / MEP / renovation

. Strong knowledge of drawings, technical details, materials, and finishing standards. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under pressure. UAE driving license preferred.
