:

To assist the Senior Manager and expand the portfolio of products offered by the Manufactured Products Dept. of WCS. To assist in day to day operations of the department and increase productivity, sales and marketing capability. To take up increasing workload in delivering Reefer Racks to DPW Clients - electrical engineering, procurement, document preparation, logistics, execution and site installation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Responsible for the growth of the Manufactured Products department by working with the Manager on day-to-day operations as well as aiding in the electrical design and development of new products that will be added to the portfolio of The WCS Manufactured Products Department. This includes the following responsibilities:

MFG specific:

• Focus on MFG tenders - technical and commercial

• Electrical
• Site management
• Commercial acumen for competitive and well-planned offers
• Focus on execution of running MFG projects

• Day to day PM assistance of running projects
• Financial tracking and reporting
• Schedules, permits, document submittals
• Visit sites and oversee electrical works, commissioning and handovers

General:

• Assist with day-to-day ops of overall dept.
• Analyse the characteristics of the electrical loads and determine the transformer\'s kVA rating, impedance, and other relevant parameters.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to select suitable transformers based on design criteria and technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, such as IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), and NEC (National Electrical Code).
• Conduct cable sizing calculations to determine the optimal size, type, and length of cables required for transmitting electrical power within a given system.
• Account for factors such as current-carrying capacity, voltage drop, short-circuit withstand capability, derating, and temperature rise.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, such as civil and structural engineers, to incorporate cable routing and installation requirements into the overall design.
• Review cable manufacturer specifications and select appropriate cables based on project specifications and cost considerations.
• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to review designs, resolve technical issues, and provide recommendations for optimization.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Qualifications

• Masters/Honours Bachelor\'s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• PMP certification is desirable

• Minimum of 5 years\' experience in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in project management
• Hands on Electrical experience
• Experience working in teams and managing team deliverables
• Experience in R&D of products
• Experience in production of electrical design reports and detailed electrical drawings
