Job Summary:
The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing electrical systems and components for construction, industrial, or infrastructure projects. They ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project specifications while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities: * Design & Engineering:

• Develop electrical designs, schematics, and specifications for power distribution, lighting, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short-circuit studies.
• Select appropriate electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, cables, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IEC, IEEE, and other relevant standards.
• Project Planning & Coordination:

• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate electrical systems into overall project plans.
• Prepare project schedules, cost estimates, and material procurement plans.
• Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs.
• Construction Supervision & Quality Control:

• Oversee electrical installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to design and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and propose corrective actions.
• Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintain project documentation (drawings, reports, test records).
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards (OSHA, NFPA).
• Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals.
• Stakeholder Communication:

• Liaise with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
• Provide technical support and progress updates to project managers.
• Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Stay updated with emerging electrical technologies (renewable energy, smart grids, etc.).

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 3+ years in electrical engineering, preferably in construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, or utilities.
• Licenses/Certifications: PE (Professional Engineer) license preferred; PMP or similar is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, Revit MEP, or similar design tools.
• Knowledge of HV/LV systems, motor controls, and power distribution.
• Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, and automation systems (advantageous).
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management abilities.

• Office-based with frequent site visits.
• May require travel to project locations.
