Job Title: Project Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Electrical Engineer to lead and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for various projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, relevant codes and standards, and a proven ability to manage projects from conceptualization through successful completion. This role requires excellent technical skills, strong communication, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage electrical engineering aspects of projects, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, telecommunications, and control systems.

Perform detailed electrical calculations, system sizing, equipment selection, and load analysis.

Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, specifications, and construction documents (drawings and schedules).

Ensure all designs comply with local and national building codes, industry standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEEE), and client requirements.

Collaborate closely with clients, architects, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall project designs.

Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections to assess existing conditions, verify installations, and monitor construction progress.

Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFI's (Requests for Information) during the construction phase.

Participate in client meetings, present design solutions, and address technical queries.

Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Mentor junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and support.

Stay abreast of new technologies, industry trends, and best practices in electrical engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.

Minimum of [5] years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on project management and design.

Proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or similar design and analysis tools.

Thorough knowledge of electrical building codes, energy codes, and industry standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70, NFPA 72, IEEE).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
