Project Draftsman
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, layouts, and plans for buildings, structures, and systems.
- Use CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) to produce 2D/3D designs.
- Preparing drawings for all architectural, structural and MEP, with their working details as specified by the architects and engineers
- Interpret architectural and engineering sketches and translate them into drawings.
- Revise and update drawings based on markups, site changes, or design modifications.
- Ensure all drawings meet project specifications, industry standards, and company quality guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other project team members to resolve design issues.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings and versions.
- Prepare as-built drawings.
- Assist in preparing material take-offs when required.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar drafting role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or Civil 3D is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good understanding of construction methods, building codes, and engineering terminology.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
