JOB TITLE: PROJECT DIRECTOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Full project lifecycle ownership with complete responsibility for delivering a
500mUSD project safely on a target schedule in conformity with client specifications and standards. * Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Build a strong relationship with the client senior management and ensure smooth working operations between project team and client team.
  • Manage the expectations of all other internal and external stakeholders such as executive management, functional management, vendors, subcontractors, third party agencies and local authorities.
  • Ensure that the project HSSE performance meets / exceeds the organizational targets.
  • Relentless focus on service quality, promote quality awareness in every sphere of project activity and ensure that the project meets the design objectives.
  • Management of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on- time project delivery.
  • Develop a strong governance and assurance framework on the project with real time reporting of information and communication, both internally and externally.
  • Manage the procurement and manufacturing efforts performed across many international locations, ensuring high levels of completeness and quality of the deliveries.
  • Utilize the in-country know how to enable smooth operations on the ground, build and maintain ethical relationships with the local authorities, military, and gendarmeries.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to the team in management of their groups. Generate development plans and charting career paths for staff with recommendations for corresponding training programs.
  • Monitor performance culminating in promotions/new roles as well as evaluating team members based on potential geared to training/career progression opportunities.
  • Mentor young talent (especially fresh graduates) and prepare them for senior roles in the future.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Solid Business Acumen with a good understanding the key business driver of the project and leverage those drives for the benefit of the organization.
  • Risk based decision making. Political intelligence \xe2\x80\x93 Ability to engage with and seek involvement from every group of people in the project\xe2\x80\x99s ecosystem
  • Education: Minimum 20 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry in particular the Offshore market. Master\xe2\x80\x99s or bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in an engineering or construction disciplines. PMI PMP certification.
  • Experience: A previous track record of managing
500 M USD projects in offshore platform projects and modular construction Strong Familiarity with on\xe2\x80\x93site issues through the complete project lifecycle \xe2\x80\x93 concept to operations. Proven ability to develop strategic business relationships with the client and other local authorities that can drive project performance. Experience in Electrical Offshore Wind Projects, including major onshore Civil construction. Solid understanding of business processes, systems, and procedures. Participated in operational excellence initiatives across various functions to improve business performance. Foundational expertise in Design Engineering.
