CHINA RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION LIMITED - SAUDI ARABIA BRANCH PROJECT DIRECTOR - BUILDING PROJECT (RIYADH) With overall 20 years experience in construction. 10 years minimum relevant experience with similar projects and 5 years in KSA.
As a Project Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a project to ensure the quality is a high standard, and that it is running to the timescales allowed. A project director is responsible for overseeing workers in various departments who are assigned certain tasks to complete for a given project. The job role of a project director involves the following duties:

• Monitoring build progress, overseeing finance and ensuring project quality
• Making strategic decisions and providing leadership and direction to project managers to implement those decisions
• Meeting with clients, stakeholders and project managers to report on project progress
• Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships
• Devising cost-effective plans to enable effective project completion
• Managing risks to avoid delays or reputational damage
• Ensuring permits and legal papers are secured ahead of the project
• Managing project managers and enabling them to supervise and manage their own teams
• Working in an office and on a construction site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Project Director

• Coordinates the efforts of various workers in order to ensure that required tasks can be accomplished
• Develops a timeline for the completion of certain milestones for a given project
• Creates a budget for the completion of a particular job, and monitors the amount of money spent in order to ensure the project does not exceed this amount
• Recommends changes to a project that is ongoing if it appears it is not proceeding on schedule or is producing unsatisfactory results
• Develops an alternate course of action for completing a job should the initial plan fail
• Makes presentations to investors, business partners and company executives concerning different phases of a project
• Reviews proposals and approves or denies them
• Contracts with outside agencies for support on an as-needed basis
