The Project Director will report to the Turner & Townsend Director internally and the client representative at a project level. The incumbent will be based in either Dubai and may be required at times to travel across the UAE.

The Project Director will act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that our client objectives are not only met, but exceeded wherever possible and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate high level of quality, sustainability and safety standards.

Key Attributes and Duties:

New Site Development Director to oversee, manage, drive and advise the client in relation to the development of a new Data center in the UAE. Key functions of the role will involve overseeing due diligence, design development from concept to schematic, local authority permitting and approvals, scheduling, and budgeting.

You will have both a strong pre contract and post contract full life cycle delivery background. You will show excellent management and interpersonal skills, have an engaging personality and possess a very strong core technical skillset with an understanding of construction, an appreciation of commercial and have contractual awareness.

Your proven success in delivering real estate, data centre or hi - tech projects will allow you to execute the following key responsibilities as Project Director:

Site Acquisition experience, you will be responsible in identifying and selecting new sites in existing and new markets in line with the client\'s strategy.

Provide support to Construction Team from concept through commissioning.

Drive scope, schedule, and budget decisions to conclusion including managing internal and external resources, project teams, contractors and vendors.

You will be responsible for Consultant/Vendor/Contractor qualification.

Establish project budgets, analyze design impacts on build costs and submit approval packages to the client.

Qualifications

Essential

Degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management or an equivalent technical / engineering qualification.

Data Centre, hi-tech or real estate project experience.

Site selection, feasibility or development management experience.

Minimum 15 - 20+ years Project Management experience.
