The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of project activities from initiation to completion. The role includes both
office-based coordination
and
on-site supervision
to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing project schedules, timelines, and progress tracking reports.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding project updates and approvals.
Ensure all drawings, materials, and technical submissions are reviewed and approved prior to execution.
Supervise daily site activities and ensure works are carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
Coordinate with site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to maintain workflow efficiency.
Monitor site progress and report daily accomplishments, delays, and manpower utilization.
Ensure that all on-site works comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
Verify and inspect material deliveries and ensure proper installation as per design intent.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports with photos and updates.
Maintain project records, site correspondences, and inspection logs.
Support preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and inspection requests (IRs).
Ensure all permits, approvals, and NOCs are obtained prior to starting site activities.
Attend coordination and site meetings with clients, consultants, and mall management.
Communicate effectively between design, procurement, and site teams to resolve technical or execution issues.
Follow up on RFIs, variation works, and material submissions.
Implement and monitor safety procedures in line with project HSE plans.
Conduct toolbox talks and ensure site compliance with permit-to-work systems.
Ensure quality checks are performed before inspections and final handover.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
3-5 years' experience in fit-out or construction project coordination.
Strong knowledge of AutoCAD drawings, MS Project, and MS Office.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
UAE driving license (is a must).
