The Role

Job Summary:

The Project Control Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, cost control, and progress monitoring of Oil & Gas projects. This role ensures projects are executed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Engineering phases of projects, cost estimation, risk analysis, and scheduling tools like Primavera P6 and MS Project. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Scheduling: o Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project. o Track project progress, identify delays, and propose corrective actions. o Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure smooth execution. o Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and resource-loaded schedules for Engineering. Cost Control & Budget Management: o Monitor project costs and ensure alignment with the approved budget. o Prepare cost estimates, cash flow forecasts, and variance reports. o Work closely with finance and procurement teams for cost tracking. o Identify cost overruns and recommend cost-saving strategies. Risk Management & Progress Monitoring: o Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation plans. o Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques for tracking performance. o Generate reports, S-curves, and KPIs for management and stakeholders. o Ensure adherence to contract specifications, company policies, and industry standards. Documentation & Compliance: o Maintain project documentation, including progress reports, cost control records, and risk assessments. o Ensure compliance with Oil & Gas industry standards, company policies, and safety regulations. o Support preparation of claims, change orders, and contract amendments.



Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or equivalent). o 8 years of experience in project planning & control in Oil & Gas, EPC projects. o Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and cost control software. o Strong understanding of project management methodologies, risk assessment, and cost estimation. o Knowledge of international codes and standards applicable to Oil & Gas projects. o Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills: o Experience in developing and updating Engineering projects plans in Primavera. o Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles. o Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, and reporting tools. o Certification in PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, or AACE (CCP, PSP) is a plus.
