Job Description

Our client, an international University based in Dubai is urgently looking for a Programme Counsellor.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To achieve the recruitment targets set for the Global MBA and all other programmes
The post holder will play an important role in the Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions teams with responsibility for the smooth running of the marketing, recruitment, admissions and registration process and induction activities. The person working in this team will need to be flexible and adaptable in order to effectively support the students from an Enquiry status to an applicant and then to being a student on the MBA programme, or any other programme and to reinforce alumni relations and provide support in the region.
The post holder will report to the Marketing and Business Development Manager, to develop and implement the marketing plans for the Global MBA and all other programmes in the Middle East region via various channels including public relations, conducting and hosting events and recruitment activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES OR DUTIES

Recruitment
Handle and follow up the enquirers generated from the various marketing activities and generate good pipeline of applications, provides counseling to enquirers from walk-ins, emails and/or phone calls and during outreach and recruitment activities and follow up until conversion.
Counsel prospects, focusing on conversion of high quality applications against targets.
Monitor and continually explore ways to improve conversion ratio.
Closely follow up the applicants with their application requirements and to maintain deadlines are met.
Update and maintain accurate records of each student on the Centre CRM, Student Records System (SRS), and register the students on the Campus Solutions.
Travel to attend events, exhibitions and related meetings and trainings within the Middle East region and overseas.
Produce statistics in relation to number of leads, applications, offers, deferrals, payments and new student cohorts.
Prepare and provide weekly reports on the leads, applications and payment status.
Represents the School during open days, fairs, exhibitions, events and counsel prospective students in different on and off campus settings.

Marketing and Public Relations
Create, implement and evaluate marketing campaigns in line with the business plan & central marketing plan for every semester and for all programmes being offered by the Centre.
Source for advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press, online, offline (local, regional, national and specialist publications) depending on the campaign.
Manage the design and production of marketing materials including, e mailers, leaflets, and posters, flyers, newsletters, banners, e-newsletters, brochures and DVDs.
Assess and track the progress of each campaign running through various online providers and alert the team as and when found necessary on daily, weekly, and monthly basis depending on the campaign
Research and identify most appropriate promotional events to promote all programmes of the school.
Research, analyze and evaluate marketing activity including competitor analysis, student profiling and identification of potential new markets and partners on monthly basis
Maintain good and constructive relationships within and outside the organization at all levels, i.e., the administration, students, press, alumni and the general public.
Plan and co-ordinate all aspects of the events logistics such as venue search and management, exhibition planning, caterers, and equipment hire.
Generate LPO\xe2\x80\x99s related to activities under the marketing and recruitment
Keep records of all marketing vendors contracts and LPOs and respective fees
Insure all marketing budgets and linked campaigns are updated on CRM for ROI reporting purposes
Provide the management with weekly and monthly ROI reports to enhance marketing and lead generation activities fo quality leads

Event Management
Preparation of all pre and post event activities
Plan & co-ordinate all aspects of events logistics such as venue search and management, exhibition planning, caterers & equipment hire
Organize any speakers or special guests as and when needed
Preparing delegate packs and documents for all events

The post holder is also required to:
Carry out other duties as required by the Senior Programme Counsellor and the Marketing Manager

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
The person appointed should:
Have a good standard of education, preferably at postgraduate degree level in marketing or related field. Good command in both spoken and written English.
Have relevant marketing experience in advertising, web, PR and copywriting in the education sector.
Have the ability to work strategically, tactically and creatively to meet agreed and set objectives and recruitment targets.
Possess exceptional marketing communications skills with the ability to write persuasively.
Ability to work under pressure with a tenacious approach to problem solving.
Self-motivated with a positive \xe2\x80\x98can do\xe2\x80\x99 attitude and the ability to manage own workload.
Have IT skills with experience of using online marketing packages.
Able to deal effectively with student customers, using tact and sensitivity whenever necessary.
Willingness to undergo training in response to changing office technology/routines or in order to develop themselves.
A commitment to on-going personal and professional development.
Ability to deal tactfully and sensitively with confidential information, and awareness of implications of the Data Protection Act.
Some out of hours working will be required

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Experience of working sensitively with people from different cultural backgrounds.
Good level of tolerance and perseverance to perform consistently in a semester to achieve high targets.
Minimum 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in marketing, adult education, familiarity with Middle East and GCC Markets.
Be self-motivated, efficient, mature, independent, outgoing, can work under pressure and attentive to details.
Good communication, presentation skills and willing to travel and flexible working overtime.
