What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for: La Luna Spa is looking for a full-time massage therapist who will be responsible for relieving physical pain and discomfort in clients by manipulating their muscles and other soft body tissues. Massage therapists meet with clients to determine which type of massage is best for them, knead and rub muscles to relieve tension, and create an ambiance that is safe and relaxing for the clients. They also help clients reduce stress, ease migraines, and improve blood circulation. Additionally, massage therapists ensure repeat business in order to boost the company\'s revenue by providing clients with the best possible experience. The Massage Therapist\xe2\x80\x99s responsibilities include: As a massage therapist should be skilled in providing relaxation by assessing the client\'s preferences and needs through spoken language, body language, and other cues and modifying their treatments accordingly.
- Exercising sensitivity to a client\xe2\x80\x99s medical history and injuries while using massage to relieve pain and tension.
- Guide clients through the different types of massages and evaluate which massage would be most beneficial for them.
- Assess clients to determine painful and stressed areas of the body and develop a treatment plan.
- By appointment, provide 30-60-90-120-minute massages to clients.
- Kneads, rubs, and strokes the clients\xe2\x80\x99 body using the hands and feet in order to stimulate blood circulation, relax contracted muscles, and eliminate waste matter.
- Make future massage appointments and treatments available to clients.
- Properly documenting all treatments given to clients.
- confidence and friendliness who isn\xe2\x80\x99t afraid to take the initiative in connecting clients to LLS memberships, treatments, and retail products.
- training and practice in the different types of massage therapy: deep tissue, Swedish, hot stone,
- demonstrable ability to relieve stress and body aches and pain.
- a great deal of personal satisfaction in relieving pain and helping people in reducing their stress.
- exceptional ability to attract and retain clients.
- attended a massage therapy program and must be licensed
- three years of experience working in a spa
- specialize in relaxing or therapeutic massage treatment
- exceptional customer service skills to build rapport and interact with clients with a high measure of patience and compassion
- exceptional ability to focus solely on providing an enjoyable service to clients during massage therapy by tuning out distractions.
