Job Summary:

The Professional Cake Decorator is responsible for creating visually stunning and delicious cakes for a wide range of occasions, including birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, ceremonies, and other special events. The role involves designing and decorating customized cakes according to client preferences and bakery standards, ensuring creativity, precision, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, decorate, and finish cakes, cupcakes, and desserts for various occasions such as birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and other celebrations. Collaborate closely with clients to understand themes, color schemes, and personalized design requests. Create customized cake designs that reflect the client's vision while maintaining bakery quality standards. Prepare icings, fondants, and decorative elements in appropriate colors and textures. Utilize advanced decorating techniques, including piping, sculpting, airbrushing, and hand-painting. Maintain consistency, quality, and artistic presentation across all products. Coordinate with the baking team to ensure timely production and delivery of special orders. Stay updated with current trends in cake art, event themes, and seasonal designs. Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards. Manage and organize decorating tools, materials, and supplies efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience as a cake decorator, pastry artist, or similar role. Strong creative and artistic abilities with excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in buttercream, fondant, royal icing, and other decorating mediums. Ability to design and execute both traditional and contemporary cake styles. Excellent communication and customer service skills for handling custom orders. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures. Certificate or diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts (preferred). Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and special event schedules.
