Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the quality and productivity of all production machining employees, as well as departmental safety.
• The position is accountable for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and within all quality procedures and for participation in performance management processes.
• Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated tasks.
• Enforce all safety and quality processing procedures.
• Ensure and observe the Manufacturing of products as necessary.
• Enable effective communication between management and operators.
• Supervising and managing CNC Machine operators.
• Evaluate new employees and coach existing employees to ensure they are competent to required standards.
• Promote and maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with safety standards.
• Investigate and report all incidents (accidents, poor performance, PPE shortages, non-conformance and excessive scrap)
• Suggest and implement ideas that will prevent revenue loss and enhance cost saving.
• Promote and share operating knowledge of all available processing equipment.
• Motivate the team to meet demands established by the schedule and standards expected by the customer.
• Lean Manufacturing and shop floor management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Trade School Accreditation/ diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification in Aerospace, Automotive, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ensure troubleshooting and fixing mechanical issues are being carried out.
• Championing the organization values and performance culture at all times to model behaviors to wider team staff.

Experience

• Minimum of 8 years' experience as a Lead or Senior CNC machine operator in Manufacturing Environment in the aerospace, automotive, or any other highly regulated industry.
• Strong Programming experience is a must.
• Proven experience translating mechanical documents and engineering drawings.
• Experience leading a team.
• Experience with Aerospace or Automotive Quality & Safety Standards.
