Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage daily and weekly

production schedules

based on job priorities and deadlines. Perform

nesting operations

for CNC cutting machines (e.g., plasma, laser, oxy-fuel) to optimize material utilization. Coordinate with the procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials based on production needs. Review fabrication drawings and ensure necessary resources (material, manpower, machine time) are in place. Monitor machine efficiency, downtime, and productivity. Liaise with production floor supervisors and machine operators to troubleshoot delays or issues. Ensure proper documentation of job progress, material usage, and machine output. Collaborate with the design and detailing teams to ensure correct file formats and data for nesting.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical/Industrial/Production Engineering or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in production planning, preferably in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in

nesting software

(e.g., Sigmanest, ProNest, Hypertherm, etc.). Good understanding of

fabrication machines

(CNC plasma, laser, bending, shearing, etc.). Strong skills in

MS Excel

, ERP/MRP systems, and production tracking tools. Ability to interpret technical drawings and BOMs. Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of lean manufacturing and process improvement. Experience working with ERP systems Familiarity with Tekla, AutoCAD, or other drafting software is an added advantage.
