Overview

URGENT Expression of interests urgently required - Our Client is completing a Tender for Services EOIs needed 14th January.

Our Client, a Consulting Services Company specialising in Upstream Oil and Gas seeks a Production System Optimization Engineer to work remotely with for their Oil Operator Client. You will support the Oil Operators digitalization road map, by providing clear use cases for production system optimization (PSO). The ultimate goal is real time production optimization of the assets, to enhance production system performance, adherence to reservoir guidelines, and faster response times to operational issues. Applicants are invited with 10+ years oil and gas experience with a strong background in production optimisation and the relevant software experience as outlined.

Please note we do not know the Timeframe for the Tender to be awarded at this stage but we will keep you informed as best we can.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: The candidate will provide consultancy services in the following areas:

• Validation and quality checking of existing PROSPER models.
• Dynamic shrinkage correction of all well test data, and subsequent calibration of well models.
• Creation of production, water and gas injection networks in GAP.
• Validation of the entire surface network (equipment quality control and system quality control)
• Engineering workshop to outline engineering findings and model handover
• Provide technical support; manage and resolve reservoir engineering issues reported by various stakeholders.
• The model will be created, with daily interactions with the Operators Project Manager.

Preferences

Preferences: The successful candidate will have:

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent essential. MSc or higher desired.
• A minimum of 10 years of oil and gas experience essential with a strong background in production optimisation.
• Strong competency of Prosper and Gap software essential.
• Can demonstrate an in-depth modelling understanding of the Petroleum Experts suite desired - PETEX Software.
• Can demonstrate Digital Oil Field knowledge when creating an IAM (Integrated asset modelling) model essential.
• Highly experienced in developing best practices and standards for production optimisation model build
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with Oil Operator Engineers.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills is a must.
• Previous experience working Middle East assets desired.
• Strong interpersonal skills ability to relay technical knowledge and concepts in a coherent and friendly manner.
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English essential. Arabic advantageous

Other Information

Package: This is an 18 month contract (300 days approx.) and the Day Rate is circa $1000 - $1100 (USD).
