Job description

:

Oversees daily factory operations, from material procurement and production scheduling to quality control and staff management, ensuring all joinery and metal products are manufactured efficiently, on time, and to specifications. Key responsibilities include managing a team, monitoring production workflows, maintaining equipment, ensuring health and safety compliance, and collaborating with design and project teams to resolve technical issues and meet project deadlines.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Plan, organise, and control fabrication activities to meet project deadlines and production targets. Supervise shop floor operations including cutting, welding, fitting, and assembly of structural steel components. Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Coordinate with design, QA/QC, procurement, and project management teams for smooth workflow. Optimize resource utilization (manpower, machines, materials) for cost-effective production. Monitor daily production progress and prepare reports for senior management. Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices. Manage and train production staff to maintain performance and productivity. Handle client inspections and ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., AWS, ISO, ASME, etc.).

Desired Candidate Profile:

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum 15+ years of experience in GCC structural Joinery & Metal Works, with at least 8+ years in a managerial/supervisory role. Strong technical knowledge of Joinery & Metal Works processes, equipment, and welding techniques. Excellent leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in production planning software and MS Office. Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus). The Applicant must be available in the UAE.
