As we transition to a made-on-demand business model, we are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to lead and optimise our production operations.

Role Overview

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, sourcing, logistics, and quality control, ensuring the seamless execution of our made-on-demand model. This role is pivotal in maintaining efficiency, reducing lead times, and ensuring high-quality, on-time deliveries. The successful candidate will be based full-time in Dubai, with regular travel for factory visits and production oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Supply Chain Management

Lead the entire critical path from purchase order to warehouse delivery, ensuring all deadlines are met. Source and negotiate contracts with manufacturers specialising in made-on-demand production. Manage planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and quality control, ensuring timely and cost-effective production. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, negotiating terms and resolving production issues efficiently. Develop and implement production trackers, schedules, and workflows to optimise efficiency, reduce lead times, and control costs. Ensure consistent high-quality standards across all products and deliveries. Oversee financial reporting for production, including cost approvals, inventory management, and budget forecasting.

Sustainability & Compliance

Source eco-friendly packaging suppliers and implement sustainable packaging solutions. Implement customer-facing disclaimers and care labels, collaborating with legal and compliance teams to develop necessary protocols. Develop and maintain the Production Factory Handbook, setting clear guidelines for manufacturers and suppliers.

Project Management & System Implementation

Oversee the implementation of the Zedonk system, ensuring efficient classification, cataloguing, and production workflows. Create flowcharts and process documentation to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Introduce and implement new methods to enhance company operations, ensuring scalability and long-term success.

Collaboration & Reporting

Work closely with designers and the creative director to ensure production aligns with the brand's creative vision. Report directly to the company directors, providing regular updates on production status, challenges, and financial performance.

Key Challenges & Goals

Successfully implement a made-on-demand model, ensuring garments are produced and delivered within 8 working days. Support the launch of a revolutionary retail experience within the next 6-12 months, optimising production processes for seamless execution.

Requirements

Proven experience in production management within the luxury or high-end fashion sector. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of sourcing and managing manufacturers. Expertise in supply chain, logistics, and financial oversight within a fashion production environment. Experience working with made-on-demand or agile production models is highly desirable. Strong project management skills with experience in implementing production systems. Willingness to relocate to Dubai full-time and travel regularly for factory oversight.
