Job Title Production Manager

Description

The main purpose of the role is to manage the Operations Department and team to achieve on-time production (production is outsourced), process improvement, and stream-lining using technology, logic and synergies with other departments. This is accomplished by planning the procurement of raw materials and production of finished goods ensuring the products are available on time as per sales forecasts, all the time controlling inventory to reduce obsolete inventory write-offs (Just-In-Time). In addition, this role requires the management of the Admin Function to achieve an effective physical work environment.

The Production Manager will be part of the Management team, along with the Design and Finance & IT Manager, reporting to the CEO and driving the business through strategic focus and team leadership. Collaboration will be with these teams, the Sales & Marketing Team, as well as the significant outsourced suppliers, being the manufacturers, fabric suppliers, fabric AOP printers and warehouse. There will be frequent interdepartmental communication with other departments to ensure achievement of departmental goals.

Accountabilities

General
Develop and lead your team through motivation, training, support and task distribution focusing on each member's abilities and strengths.
Excel - A strong knowledge of Pivot Table, Vlookup and more complex formulas as well as setting up spread sheets is a MUST.
Gain a strong understanding of the Excel templates you will be using for Production and Procurement Planning and make improvements as you see fit. Ensure that data is entered correctly into the systems to minimize errors during production.
Gain a strong understanding of Fishbowl/PLM software and its capabilities to automate workload using PO's, MO's, BOMs, csv imports and report exports.
Maintain, create and use Outlook email templates with up to date information.
Operations
Manage the function and lead the department team members to support the
Sales Department in the most effective manner. The function includes Production

(Outsourced), Procurement, Raw Materials inventory control and Finished Goods

Direct Deliveries.
Seek continuous improvements to systems and processes within the Operations
Department to create smarter, more efficient processes and also between the

Operations department and other departments. We are an organization that values time.

Office Admin
Manage this function. This involves office administration for policy creation and compliance (desks, furniture, keys, working hours etc) and approval control of office expenses within budget.
Production Planner
Plan production of finished goods via production schedule to achieve finished goods inventory availability for customer orders as required, within resource constraints
(raw materials availability and outsourced production weekly maximums).
Plan quantity and timing of procurement for Accessories and Fabric to arrive "Just-In-
Time" for production.

Inventory Control
Ensure Fishbowl (PLM going forward) system inventory is accurate to physical by working with Finance department and your team to conduct physical stock counts and reconcile to Fishbowl system for Fabric, Accessories and Finished goods located at Manufacturer.
Manage inventory level of Accessories, Fabric and Finished Goods to achieve Days in
Inventory targets.

Qualifications/ skills/ experience / knowledge

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Commerce.
Experience
Minimum 7 years' experience in Production or as a senior finance team member within a production company. We will consider candidates with CIMA qualifications who have worked in other areas.
Minimum five years' experience managing a team of a least 3 reports
Previous experience with systems used during production or Finance systems is beneficial.
Minimum 2 years' experience in the UAE.
Technical Skills
A very strong knowledge of Pivot Table, Vlookup, Sumif and other more complex formulas is needed.
This skill will be tested at the interview stage and will be used daily.
Strong analytical skills and aptitude and accuracy for working with large amounts of data and figures.
Enjoy numeric data analysis to achieve improved results. Understand how systems talk to each other and be responsible for data integration.
Ability to solve problems independently and think logically.
A high level of accuracy when dealing with figures.
Familiarity with MS Office, Email and Internet.
Fluency in written and spoken English essential.
High level of written and spoken communications required.

Salary: AED12,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
