Job Description

Production Incharge Duties:

Plan, schedule, and oversee daily production activities in line with project timelines and quality standards. Supervise and coordinate with production staff, fabricators, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow. Monitor production output, quality control, and efficiency across all manufacturing processes. Maintain inventory of raw materials, tools, and consumables; coordinate with procurement as required. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on the shop floor. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions as necessary. Prepare production reports, analyze performance metrics, and suggest improvements.

Estimation Duties:

Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to prepare detailed cost estimates. Calculate material, labor, equipment, and time requirements for metal and retail fit-out jobs. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to assess feasibility and optimize costs. Source material prices, obtain quotes from suppliers, and maintain a database of costs. Prepare and submit accurate and competitive quotes or tender proposals to clients. Track estimation accuracy and update cost databases based on completed projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the retail fit-out or metal fabrication industry. Strong knowledge of metal manufacturing processes, joinery, finishing, and fit-out systems. Proficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints. Experience with estimation software (e.g., MS Excel, AutoCAD, or specialized tools like Bluebeam, Candy, etc.). Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
