Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Engineer to join our team in the forging and casting industry. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role in steel manufacturing, industrial machinery manufacturing or relevant business. Demonstrating a strong understanding of production processes and a track record of successfully managing and optimizing production operations.

Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to develop and implement production plans and strategies. Oversee and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of production processes, including forging, casting, or steel manufacturing, while meeting quality, cost, and delivery targets. Identify areas for process improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality. Analyze production data, such as yield, cycle time, and scrap rates, to identify trends and implement corrective actions. Monitor and manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment availability, reliability, and optimal performance. Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime and maximize production output. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. Train and mentor production operators to improve skills and knowledge, fostering a culture of operational excellence.

Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience as a Production Engineer in the forging and casting or steel manufacturing industry or any related field. Good knowledge of forging, casting, or steel manufacturing processes. Proficiency in process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma. Solid understanding of quality control principles and practices. Experience with production planning, scheduling, and inventory management. Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and production management systems. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve production issues effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead production teams. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
