Job Summary

Al Mutla Trading & Contracting is seeking a highly capable

Operations Engineer / Production & Fabrication Engineer

to oversee workshop production, steel fabrication operations, and site coordination. The role is hands-on and requires strong technical knowledge in

steel fabrication, WPC, aluminum, and outdoor structures

, with the ability to manage production schedules, drawings, materials, and manpower efficiently.

This position plays a key role in converting approved designs and BOQs into accurate fabrication, smooth production, and timely site execution.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Production

Plan and manage daily workshop production activities (steel fabrication, gates, carports, pergolas, outdoor structures). Coordinate between design, fabrication, procurement, and site teams. Prepare and control production schedules to meet project deadlines. Monitor material usage, wastage, and workshop efficiency.

Fabrication & Technical

Review shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and material cut lists. Ensure fabrication works comply with approved drawings and specifications. Supervise welding, assembly, finishing, and surface treatment (galvanizing / powder coating). Provide technical solutions to fabrication and site challenges.

Site & Project Support

Coordinate with site supervisors for installation and erection activities. Conduct site visits for measurements, technical checks, and installation planning. Support QS with quantities, variations, and technical clarifications.

Quality, Safety & Reporting

Ensure quality standards are maintained during fabrication and installation. Enforce workshop and site safety procedures. Prepare daily/weekly production and progress reports for management.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field. 5+ years experience in

steel fabrication and construction operations

in Qatar. Strong knowledge of steel structures, gates, carports, pergolas, WPC & aluminum works. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication details. Experience coordinating workshops and site teams. Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office. Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills. Valid Qatar driving license is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR3,500.00 - QAR4,500.00 per month

Work Location: In person
