Job Title: Production Engineer - Wood & Steel Furniture Manufacturing

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Reports To: Production Manager / Plant Head

Location: Qatar

Job Purpose:

To plan, coordinate, and optimize production processes for wood and steel furniture manufacturing, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety while meeting production targets and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Control

Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on orders and capacity. Monitor production progress and ensure timely completion of jobs. Coordinate between design, procurement, and quality departments to avoid bottlenecks.
2. Process Optimization

Analyze manufacturing processes for wood and steel furniture (cutting, welding, bending, assembly, finishing, polishing, powder coating, etc.). Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives to minimize waste and downtime. Standardize work instructions and improve workflow efficiency.
3. Quality Assurance

Ensure furniture is produced as per design specifications and quality standards. Work with the QA team to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions. Conduct process audits and ensure adherence to ISO or other quality systems.
4. Resource Management

Supervise and train production operators and technicians. Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials. Maintain records of production data, maintenance schedules, and performance metrics.
