OVERVIEW Abbott Diabetes Care business is looking for a Product Specialist to be based in Abu Dhabi/Al Ain reporting to the Sales Manager UAE. The Product Specialist will promote the breakthrough product FreeStyle Libre to Endocrinologists, Diabetes educators, GPs and internists with special interest in Diabetes as well as other diabetes-related medical specialist within Abu Dhabi and Al Ain area. Carry out all sales and promotional activities developed in line with the company sales and marketing strategies and plans. Drive for results by achieving sales growth and gaining market share within the blood glucose monitoring field. Developing and sustaining productive customer relationships to further establish ADC as a pioneering leader in the Gulf Diabetes arena. WHAT YOU'LL DO :

  • Implement specific sales strategies (developed in conjunction with the line manager and/or other commercial team members for targeted accounts to ensure positive sales outcomes.)
  • Initiate the development of close relationships with targeted accounts across Dubai and Northern Emirates.
  • Carry out sales calls.
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
  • Conduct group meetings for HPCs to disseminate the knowledge about FreeStyle Libre and AGP.
  • Achieve the respective area sales targets.
  • Comply with reporting requirements on time as required.
  • Understand competitor environment and activities and monitor market trends.
  • Develop a knowledge and understanding of the company products and services.
  • Abide by Abbotts code of Business Conduct and Ethics regulation as well as the industry law and local law.
  • Represent Abbott in a professional manner that aligns with company image ensuring activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
  • Team player with proven ability to work across different cultures.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION, YOU'LL BRING :
  • Tertiary Qualifications in medical sciences is a must.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the sales field of pharmaceutical or medical devices, experience in the diabetes field is an advantage.
  • Fully aware and knowledgeable about key accounts and key stakeholders in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets.
