The position of Director, NPI Project Management sits within our Infectious Disease Emerging Markets, Africa & Middle East business located in Johannesburg. In this role, you will own the development, building, and presentation of strategic solutions for New Product Introductions (NPIs) in targeted countries in Africa & the Middle East.
To drive New Product Launch projects ( NxTek, ANC Panel, HbsAg2, NxTek & HIVST) at a Senior Global & Regional level in the Middle East Africa markets ensuring timely completion of tasks and completion of the launch plan. Create and maintain the cross-functional commercial launch readiness and launch plan (including marketing, operations, sales, market access, external communications, medical affairs, manufacturing, etc.), map key activities, functional milestones, and timing, identify risk, and lead the development of mitigation/contingency plans necessary to deliver the project in full, on time and on budget.
The Director, NPI Project Management is responsible for driving the acceleration of NPI launches through firm and regular engagement with the Global & Regional functions
Create and maintain cross-functional commercial launch readiness and launch plans (including marketing, regulatory, operations, sales, market access, external communications, medical affairs, manufacturing, etc.), map key activities, functional milestones and timing, identify risk and lead the development of mitigation/contingency plans necessary to deliver the project in full, on time and on budget
What You\'ll Do
Organize and facilitate launch team meeting topics/agendas, manage team members and meeting attendees based on agreed-upon structure, take meeting minutes, track meeting decisions and issues, and, follow-up action items.
Communicate program and project plans to ensure a common understanding by stakeholders and team members. Take action/escalation to remove barriers in a timely and effective manner. Report progress and ensure full visibility and support
Influence/Leadership: Able to engage with heads of Global Functions and work with these Global Functions to align launch expectations. Able to coordinate between Global & Regional Function heads to ensure alignment, specifically as this relates to launch assumptions (regulatory dates, sales budgets, resourcing requirements).
Project Management Utilizes project management tools and skills to organize and manage tasks and timelines in a manner that ensures timely completion of deliverables. Ensures accuracy of analyses and other deliverables. Ensures stakeholders are aligned with the progress of deliverables through the life of the project(s)Establish strategies and tactics and then promote ARDx IDEM products to the customer base in order to differentiate ARDx products from competitors and to further demonstrate the product\xe2\x80\x99s utility in different indications
Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Has broad knowledge of various technical alternatives and their potential impact on the business creating awareness of ARDx IDEM products amongst KOL\xe2\x80\x99s and KDM\xe2\x80\x99s in order to expand existing business
Other responsibilities as assigned
Complete familiarization of, and adherence to Compliance policies
Participate in congresses/conferences, sales meetings where required
Keep up to date with market developments
Continually enhance sales skills and product knowledge in order to promote a professional image in the field
Required Qualifications:
Must have a tertiary qualification either related to healthcare or business-related
Ideally, 15 years experience within the healthcare industry ideally having managed the NPI process.
Experience within the NGO/Funder spaces within Healthcare is essential having dealt with the relevant Ministries of health and public sector
Experience with "other Africa" countries is advantageous.
