Product Coordinator

in Doha


In this role, you will play a significant part in delivering unique products at best price, in a timely and creative manner to support Discover Qatar /Qatar Airways Holidays Sales and Operations. Required to source suppliers, manage their relationship, administrate contracts, and prepare costing sheets for benchmarking purposes, as well as presenting newly created products to the Sales and Operations team and follow-up with their enquiries.


You will be responsible for supporting the Product Development and Quality Control team in extending the existing Discover Qatar /Qatar Airways Holidays product portfolio, as well as expanding the Discover Qatar /Qatar Airways Holidays product portfolio to offer new products and services.

Specific responsibilities include:

Source suppliers and manage their relationship (setup regular calls) to ensure best positioning, products, and service quality, ROI, and pricing, of Discover Qatar /Qatar Airways Holidays products in the market. Analyse and benchmark competitor products and rates, negotiate tactical offers and discounts, and monitor sales performance, and override commission rates. Set up all new Discover Qatar /Qatar Airways Holidays suppliers in Oracle. Administer the contract forms, templates and procedures in compliance with company policies and procedures. Conduct accurate review of contract amends received from Discover Qatar /Qatar Airways Holidays service suppliers. Communicate with service suppliers to ensure the rates / products received are aligned with Discover Qatar /Qatar Airways Holidays requirements. Identify bottlenecks in the contracting process and propose corrective measures to Line Manager. Adjust mark-up levels to maximize revenue and ensure best pricing and servicing for Discover Qatar /Qatar Airways Holidays. Ensure there is adequate product and offers available to support sales and marketing campaigns and new destination launches. Follow set standard operations procedures and ensure terms specified in supplier contracts are followed with regards to the booking process, payment, and financial terms. Maintain reports and other data to keep track of Discover Qatar /Qatar Airways Holidays production with each of the suppliers and a daily sales report to follow-up with trends and anticipate sales periods. Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualifications

About you

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent & Minimum 04 years professional of job-related experience
Experience in uploading contracts on online system. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to demonstrate key areas of success. Experience working on manual cost sheets and flyers. A proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers. Experience in tour-operating or travel management (brochure production, contracting, sales).

You'll have an edge if you have:

Preferably have experience in a product department and in out-bound travel. Airfare and GDS experience.
