at INFelc, you will lead strategic procurement and contract management for regional and international renewable energy projects. This role demands end-to-end ownership of sourcing activities including vendor qualification, negotiation, contract finalization, ERP implementation and procurement planning to ensure project cost, quality and schedule objectives are met. You will also drive process improvements, risk mitigation strategies, and contribute to our sustainability and cost-reduction goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead procurement activities for multi-disciplinary packages (EPC, BOP, Logistics, MEP, and Renewable Technology Systems) across regional and international energy projects.
Develop sourcing strategies to identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified vendors aligned with project scope and timelines.
Oversee RFQ/RFP processes, bid evaluations, and award recommendations ensuring compliance with internal controls.
Negotiate complex contracts ensuring favorable commercial and legal terms.
Conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and lifecycle cost analysis for procurement decisions.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships; continuously evaluate vendor performance against quality, delivery, compliance, and cost metrics.
Implement vendor risk assessment and mitigation strategies, including financial health checks and contingency planning.
Collaborate with Legal and Project teams to draft, review, and execute robust procurement contracts and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Finance, and Legal teams to align procurement activities with overall project delivery schedules.
Provide procurement input to project kick-off meetings, risk reviews, and progress reporting.
Support sales and business development teams with early-stage project cost estimates and procurement intelligence.
Lead the deployment, optimization, and continuous improvement of ERP systems (e.g., SAP Ariba) for procurement operations.
Oversee the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process ensuring compliance, accuracy, and transparency in purchasing activities.
Maintain master data accuracy, pricing catalogues, and system audit compliance.
Conduct market research, benchmarking, and price trend analysis to anticipate supply chain risks and opportunities.
Monitor commodity indices, lead times, and capacity constraints to proactively manage supply strategy.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through supplier consolidation, localization, and alternative sourcing.
Ensure procurement activities are compliant with internal policies, ESG guidelines, and international procurement standards.
Prepare and present regular procurement reports including cost performance, contract status, and risk logs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives including automation, process optimization, and sustainability in procurement practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
6+ years of progressive experience in procurement within renewable energy / Power sectors.
Proven experience in leading procurement for EPC/BOP packages in solar, wind, or battery storage projects.
Strong knowledge of international procurement regulations and contract laws.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
