Job Description

Procurement Specialist Our client is a well-established engineering organization specializing in industrial products and services for the oil and gas; industrial, commercial, and institutional energy users; petrochemical, renewable energy, energy storage; chemicals, steel, marine and other process industries. The role is responsible for the efficient planning and purchasing of engineering materials and services - RFQ-to-order cycle management - manage the complete purchase order, vendor negotiation, and invoicing process with vendors. Role Summary Initial preparation and issuance of Request for Quotations (RFQs) for a wide array of products, materials and services. Source and evaluate vendors and contractors based on quality, price and speed of delivery. Review quotations, negotiate prices and provide a cost-benefit analysis to drive cost savings. Proactively follow up with placed orders, shipment schedules and deliveries, customs clearance, verify delivery and approve payments. Track and troubles vendor data, drawings, equipment/material quotes, and delivery schedules between engineering, purchasing, vendors and job sites. Negotiate existing and new contracts to deliver value and reduce costs. Maintain an accurate database of suppliers and conduct regular performance review with suppliers to drive continuous improvements. Assist with production planning, inventory control and inventory management of raw materials. Review and assist with purchase order or invoice discrepancies to resolve pricing, quantity and unit of measure issues to ensure payment within terms for all vendors. Mandatory Skills & Experience 5+ years' UAE experience in engineering procurement and vendor sourcing with proficiency in administer and negotiate contracts terms and conditions. UAE procurement experience in of capital equipment, including structural steel, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, rotating equipment, filtration systems, balance of plant equipment, and power generation and transmission systems is mandatory. Ability to understand technical and commercial requirements. Education Bachelor's degree is mandatory. CIPS certification is an advantage. Candidate Profile Currently living in the United Arab Emirates - must be able to live and work in Dubai. Fluent in English - must be able to read, write and speak English. Smart appearance with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Ability to build relationships with vendors and articulate requirements. Attention to detail with good command of English - must be able to read, write and speak fluent English. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Education:
