Job Description

The

Procurement Officer

is responsible for sourcing and procuring all materials, accessories, and services required for uniform and garment production. This includes fabrics, trims, packaging items, and machinery-related supplies. The role ensures timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement in line with production schedules and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for fabrics, buttons, zippers, threads, labels, and packaging materials. Request quotations, prepare price comparisons, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules. Issue purchase orders and monitor timely delivery of all materials. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while exploring new vendors to improve quality and reduce costs. Coordinate with production, design, and quality teams to ensure materials meet required specifications. Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase documentation, supplier databases, and performance evaluations. Monitor inventory levels and plan material replenishment according to production requirements. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all procurement activities. Assist with budgeting, cost control, and material cost analysis. Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth receiving, inspection, and storage of materials.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 1-2 years of procurement experience, preferably in garment, textile, or uniform manufacturing. Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, and garment accessories. Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems. Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
