Job description:

We are seeking an experienced Purchaser with strong knowledge of heavy truck spare parts and market pricing. The role involves sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing required spare parts at the most competitive prices, ensuring quality and timely availability to support our fleet operations. The candidate must be familiar with local spare parts markets, suppliers, and have strong negotiation skills.

Purchasing & Sourcing

Identify and purchase spare parts for heavy trucks (engine, transmission, brakes, tires, body parts, etc.) from local markets and suppliers. Visit spare parts shops and dealers to source materials at the best prices without compromising on quality. Maintain a database of reliable vendors and update price lists regularly.

Negotiation & Cost Control

Negotiate with suppliers for the best possible rates, discounts, and credit terms. Ensure purchases are cost-effective while meeting required standards. Reduce overall spare parts costs through effective vendor selection and negotiation.

Quality & Compliance

Verify the quality and authenticity of spare parts before purchase. Ensure that purchased parts meet the technical specifications provided by the maintenance/technical team. Avoid counterfeit or substandard spare parts.
Requirements

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in purchasing spare parts for heavy trucks (12m/18m/24m flat bed, low bed up to 100 tons) Strong knowledge of spare parts markets and suppliers in UAE. Excellent knowledge of truck spare parts specifications. Strong negotiation and bargaining skills. Ability to compare prices, quality, and availability from different suppliers. Good communication and record-keeping skills. Valid driving license to visit suppliers and markets.
