We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the contracting, MEP, and construction industries, with at least 5 years of relevant experience. A degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, but candidates with significant experience in procurement within the relevant fields will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the procurement of high-quality materials and services at competitive prices.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
Purchase Orders: Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and coordinate with project managers to forecast procurement needs.
Cost Control: Implement cost-saving strategies and measures to optimize procurement budgets and reduce expenses.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all procured materials and services meet project specifications and quality standards.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance evaluations.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies related to procurement and supply chain management.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of procurement experience in the contracting, MEP, and construction industries within the UAE.
Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Candidates with significant relevant experience will also be considered.
