Position Overview

Based at BanoPuratos UAE, we are currently seeking a:

Procurement Manager

(Sharjah, United Arab Emirates)

The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of sourcing, procurement, and cultivating relationships with suppliers and vendors and for the full implementation of the procurement plans to support BanoPuratos overall strategies and objectives.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic

• Spearhead the development and execution of strategic plans within the Procurement Department to contribute to the achievement of BanoPuratos\' strategic objectives.

Operational

• Cultivate and manage business relationships between BanoPuratos and designated suppliers. Foster and sustain existing supplier relationships, forge new connections to ensure resource adequacy, and consistently enhance pricing and work quality.
• Develop and implement new purchasing plans to deliver ongoing cost reductions and process simplification.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions for trading agreements & effectively manage contracts, ensuring that all parties adhere to agreed-upon terms and conditions.
• Manage the suppliers base by periodically monitoring, evaluating, and improving suppliers\' performance, and providing recommendations on quality reviews of rejected products.
• Collaborate with sales teams to forecast demand and develop supply plans ensuring product availability, promptly escalating risks to the line manager.
• Develop and implement forecast strategies on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Effectively manage the replenishment process, aligning with the organization\'s stock duration objectives and maintaining a proactive vision to minimize instances of out-of-stock situations.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends, pricing fluctuations, and potential risks that may impact the procurement and trading of commodities.
• Oversee the end-to-end process, taking command from forecasting to order placement, shipping coordination, arrival at the port, and culminating in the arrival at the warehouse, ensuring seamless operations.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to provide a comprehensive Arrival Health Check Report.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of necessary documentation for customs clearance.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping companies to arrange the transportation of imported goods.
• Monitor and optimize freight and shipping processes to minimize costs and ensure timely delivery.
• Explore opportunities to enhance supplier diversity while promoting inclusion and supporting a diverse range of suppliers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the organization\'s financial objectives, including the effective management and control of capital expenditures.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends, pricing fluctuations, and potential risks that may impact the procurement and trading of commodities.
• Analyze and forecast costs associated with customs duties, freight, shipping, and related expenses.
• Develop and manage budgets for import-related activities, seeking cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Communicate effectively with international suppliers to understand shipping terms, incoterms, and ensure compliance with procurement and shipping requirements.
• Perform document control and maintain contract files in a manner that supports accounting and audit purposes.

Financial Management

• Prepare annual budget for the procurement department and identify budget shortages/exceptions and obtain necessary approvals for excesses.

People and Talent Management

• Set performance management objectives for all reportees and perform mid-year and year-end performance reviews. Monitor performance and give ad-hoc advice when necessary to ensure that performance objectives are met.
• Provide guidance to subordinates on operational and people management matters. Provide them with mentoring and coaching, when necessary, to ensure that they are well equipped to tackle the operational requirements from a professional and behavioral standpoint.

Profile

• 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Procurement, with a proven track record, including 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Bachelor\'s degree in business management, or a related field.
• Proficiency in both English and Arabic would be advantageous.
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing cost control measures, offering innovative cost-saving strategies and comprehensive plans.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Supply Chain ERP systems, showcasing a high level of analytical and strategic skills.
