Position : Procurement Manager - Civil Construction
Roles & Responsibilities :
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services.
Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Purchase Orders (POs), and Contracts.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
Monitor market trends and identify potential suppliers or alternative materials.
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost criteria.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to understand material requirements and delivery timelines.
Manage inventory and ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid project delays.
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
Participate in budgeting and cost estimation related to procurement.
Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or timelines.
Manage procurement risks and mitigate supply chain disruptions.
Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in procurement within the civil construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and market trends.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Familiarity with procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of contract law and construction regulations.
