Job Description

SALARY: AED 5,000

The job purpose is to oversee and optimize the procurement activities to ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulations. Responsible to work closely with various departments to understand their needs and provide the best possible procurement solutions, contributing to the overall strategic goals of the company.

Strategic Sourcing and Planning:

- Formulate and implement comprehensive procurement strategies in collaboration with the line manager, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall goals and objectives.

- Conduct thorough market research to identify new suppliers, assess market conditions, and stay informed about industry trends and innovations.

- Develop and manage procurement plans to ensure the timely availability of goods and services required by the company.

Supplier Management:

- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure they meet the organization's quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster long-term partnerships and secure favorable terms.

- Regularly assess supplier performance based on key metrics such as on-time delivery, quality of goods/services, and compliance with contract terms.

Contract Management:

- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve the best possible terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service levels.

- Oversee the drafting, review, and execution of contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are clearly defined and adhered to.

- Address and resolve any contractual disputes or issues with suppliers in a timely and effective manner.

Compliance and Risk Management:

- Ensure all procurement activities comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Cost Management

- Cost Savings Achieved: The amount of money saved through effective procurement strategies and negotiations.

- Cost Avoidance: Potential costs avoided through proactive procurement actions.

Procurement Efficiency:

- Procurement Cycle Time: The time taken from requisition to order fulfillment.

- Purchase Order Accuracy: Percentage of purchase orders that are correct and do not require amendments.

- Order Processing Time: The average time taken to process purchase orders.

Supplier Performance and Management:

- Supplier Performance Rating: Evaluation of suppliers based on quality, delivery, and service.

- Supplier Lead Time: Average time suppliers take to deliver goods or services.

- Supplier Compliance: Adherence to contractual terms and conditions.

Compliance and Risk Management

- Contract Compliance: Ensuring all procurement activities are within contract terms.

- Risk Identification and Mitigation: Effectiveness in identifying and managing procurement risks.

- Audit Findings: Number of audit findings related to procurement and steps taken to resolve them.
