Develop and implement procurement strategies for structural steel packages in line with project timelines and requirements.
Review engineering drawings and specifications to identify material needs and sourcing requirements.
Identify, assess, and prequalify suppliers/subcontractors (fabricators, mills, coating vendors, etc.).
Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate vendor proposals, and conduct detailed technical and commercial bid analyses.
Negotiate and finalize contracts and purchase orders to ensure cost efficiency, quality compliance, and timely delivery.
Collaborate with design, quality, and project teams to resolve technical issues and mitigate supply chain risks.
Monitor supplier performance against contractual commitments and project milestones.
Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure timely documentation and reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related discipline).
4-8 years of experience
in procurement of structural steel for infrastructure or industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
