Procurement Engineer_ Civil and MEP

Job Responsibilities:

Procurement officer to ensure timely sourcing of materials required for project through in country and import market. Ensuring quality and just in time delivery; adhering to the project specs and cost efficiencies for the company. A broad-based connect with the Civil and MEP material distributors and dealers and engaging in long term business relationship with quantifiable benefits to the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and compare subcontractors quote with specification/site requirement to ensure compliance as per client/project needs.

Negotiating with subcontractors, suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms (i.e Cost, Delivery, Completion)

Prepare comparison sheets (Minimum 3 quotes) with focus on project vendor list, prior to management review.

Bringing on board procurement efficiencies, cost control and cost savings.

Pre-qualification and evaluation of suppliers.

Onboarding new supplier with favorable credit facilities, timely delivery and quality products.

Prepares LPOs for purchases and follows up on the process all through.

Track orders and ensure timely delivery

Coordinate with estimation & project team during estimation, negotiation & mobilization stage to initiate the process in parallel to save time.

Building and maintaining long-term relationships with subcontractors.

Developing and managing RFQ process and requirements

Prepare and maintain data base of subcontractor and suppliers as per their specialty and for each emirate as per policy

Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses within the budget

Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and logistics to project sites.

Prepare monthly report on progress of assigned project with assistance of schedules, costs spreadsheets and perform analysis on same.

Ensure QA/QC procedures to be implemented meticulously.

Manage& coordinate between groups of in-house and sub-contracted engineering and construction personnel engaged in construction activities

Good knowledge on MEP and Civil materials and the corresponding suppliers.

Competencies:

At least 5 years regional / local market experience in a Interior fit out company, Construction Company, as a procurement officer in UAE is required

Good database and knowledge of local market material, subcontractor and manpower suppliers.

Excellent organizational skill and Interpersonal Skills.

Articulate and clear in explaining the objectives to the team that are managed.

Excellent Knowledge of MEP and Civil supply chain and local market supplier relations

Proficient in Microsoft office and Tally.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and works under pressure.

Good Administration skills.

Ability to utilize available resources effectively.

Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelors related to Procurement/Contracts specific qualification from reputed universities.

UAE driving license preferable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,500.00 per month
