Procurement Engineer (civil/construction)

Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading construction and fit-out company in Dubai, UAE. Our client is seeking a Procurement Engineer with a civil engineering background to manage end-to-end procurement for construction projects-ensuring the right materials, cost efficiency, and timely delivery to site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project BOQs, drawings, and specs to determine material requirements.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers/subcontractors for civil materials (steel, cement, MEP, finishes).
- Prepare RFQs, compare bids, and issue purchase orders.
- Coordinate with site teams to align deliveries with project schedules.
- Inspect materials on-site for quality and compliance.
- Identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities.
- Maintain supplier relationships and performance records.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering.
- 5+ years as a Procurement Engineer/Officer in UAE building contracting.
- Strong knowledge of civil materials, construction standards, and local regulations.
- Able to read technical drawings and BOQs.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Valid UAE driving license preferred.
