Procurement Director Grade: GG15 Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships. To lead the procurement activities of the line of business, ensuring that business success is maximised in line with agreed targets. To establish robust governance to ensure all legally blinding company commitments are agreed in accordance with BAE Systems Saudi Arabia policies & procedures.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES Develop and deploy appropriate governance, policies and processes to underpin procurement capabilities. Develop & implement an effective Strategic Supplier Management and Sub Contract Management policy and framework. Maintain an effective approach to support the development of Procurement staff capabilities. Ensure the activities and objectives of the team are fully integrated throughout the project lifecycle. Support business winning, managing cash and improving sustainable profitability. Lead contract and sub-contract negotiations to ensure the successful conclusion, determine pricing, payment strategies and policies in assigned areas. Develop, co-ordinate and implement pricing and payment strategies and policies in assigned areas, in accordance with all relevant BAE Systems Saudi Arabia requirement and procedures. Develop, co-ordinate and implement overall financial targets and budgetary management strategies in assigned areas. Manage potential areas of risk and carry out risk analyses and assessments to support the minimisation of risk. Lead on the resolution of procurement issues to facilitate effective business decision-making. Lead regular reviews with suppliers to review relationship, current/future bids/ opportunities and ensure that contracted obligations and agreed targets are achieved. Inspire and develop team to ensure they are aware of and capable of delivering their responsibilities. Lead interfaces with Commercial, Finance, Legal, HR and Group Tax to establish effective contracting and pricing models. Assess Procurement plans in support of LCM.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION Relevant Masters/Degree or equivalent and extensive procurement experience. Experience of working effectively with senior stakeholders in the Customer, partner and supplier community. Strong relationship developer and influencing skills. In depth knowledge of the market, competitors, supply base, products/services. Extensive knowledge of business unit financial/commercial, procurement policies and the business unit approach to Life Cycle Management. Proven experience in developing, negotiating, agreeing and managing contacts of high value and complexity.
