We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Procurement Clerk to support our procurement department in managing purchase orders, vendor communication, and material documentation for construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring timely procurement and proper record-keeping to support project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, process, and follow up on purchase orders and purchase requisitions.
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audit purposes.
Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to track order status and delivery schedules.
Assist in vendor evaluation and maintaining approved vendor lists.
Coordinate with project teams to confirm material specifications and delivery requirements.
Support the procurement team in preparing reports and maintaining databases.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Handle correspondence related to procurement and resolve any discrepancies.
Assist in inventory management and stock reconciliation as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Procurement Clerk or similar role in the
construction industry
, preferably in the UAE.
Good understanding of procurement processes and documentation.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and procurement software.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Basic knowledge of construction materials and terminology is an advantage.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
