Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Officer with a strong background in the garments and apparel industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring raw materials, trims, and finished garments while maintaining strong vendor relationships. Essential skills for this role include a solid understanding of costing, supplier negotiation abilities, and a valid driver's license.

Key Responsibilities:

- Source fabrics, trims, accessories, and finished garments from trusted suppliers.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

- Conduct cost analysis for materials and finished goods, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing that aligns with business targets.

- Negotiate terms, prices, and delivery schedules with suppliers to meet production timelines and budget constraints.

- Collaborate closely with the design, merchandising, and production teams to understand purchasing needs.

- Track and manage purchase orders, shipping schedules, and inventory levels.

- Regularly evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.

- Monitor market trends and sourcing opportunities in the apparel industry to reduce costs and improve supply chain efficiency.

- Ensure all procurement documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company policies.

- Travel locally and internationally as needed to visit suppliers, attend sourcing trips, or participate in industry trade shows.

Requirements:

- A minimum of 2-3 years of purchasing experience in the garments and apparel industry.

- In-depth knowledge of fabric types, garment construction, trims, and production processes.

- Proven skills in cost and pricing analysis within the fashion or apparel sector.

- A strong sourcing network and established relationships with vendors.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

- Proficient in MS Office and sourcing software.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required.
