Job Description

The purpose of the nurse is to care for the physical and mental wellbeing for their patient by monitoring patient's condition and assessing their needs, to provide the best possible care and advice.

The nurses also perform all duties of a nanny/carer. Taking care of the children's emotional and physical needs to include meals, hygiene, grooming and general well-being. Prepare the children for activities and make sure they are where they are meant to be according to schedules and as instructed.

Immediate joiners are preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

BS or diploma in nursing (mandatory) Registered nurse certification (mandatory) Proven nursing experience 3+ years

JOB SKILLS

FEMALE DUE TO CULTURAL REQUIREMENTS Identify patients' care requirements, focus on their needs and act on them. Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support. Resolve or report on patients' needs or problems. Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine diagnostic checks (monitor pulse, blood pressure and temperature, provide drugs and injections etc). Monitor and record patient's condition and document provided care services. Treat medical emergencies. Managing personal hygiene for children - bathing, dressing, personal hygiene practices. Keeps environment clean and hygienic - removes trash, cleans up spills or accidents from the children. Prepares children for the day - bathing, dressing, grooming. Ensures children are where they are meant to be and are ready for whatever event they are attending. Prepares children for bed - bathing, dressing, story time etc. Actively involved in children's activities and play. Helps in all areas. Assists other staff with their duties. Always willing to do other duties as part of a large functional team. Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task. Compassionate with good communication skills. Excellent teamwork skills

THIS IS NOT A HOSPITAL POSITION. IT IS IN A PRIVATE RESIDENCE AND THIS POSITION INVOLVES OTHER DUTIES TO LOOK AFTER THE CHILDRENS HEALTH AND WELLBEING. WHEN NURSES ARE NOT TENDING TO CHILDREN, THEY WILL BE REQUIRED TO ASSIST IN OTHER AREAS SUCH AS MONITORING CONTRACTORS, SORTING OUT STOREROOMS, ORGANISING CHILDREN ROOMS ETC. FLEXIBILITY AND TEAMWORK ARE MANDATORY.
