Our client a retail chain based in Saudi Arabia is looking for an experimented Private Label manager

Some of the responsabilities
- Collaborate with vendors to complete corrective actions based on visit reports.
- Review and approve Private Label vendor agreements.
Project Management:
- Create and manage Private Label development project timelines with on time performance
- Prioritize workload effectively.
- Coordinate with Buying team to ensure projects are cooperative.
- Schedule and manage product evaluations, laboratory testing, and sample requests.
Merchandise Development:
- Research new opportunities for Private Label development.
- Lead the development of new and improved products, from concept to commercialization.
- Develop and manage ingredients and finished product specifications to ensure safety and quality consistency.
- Manage product and packaging to meet consumer expectations, including identifying product evaluation parameters.
- Oversee and report finished product testing to ensure quality and compliance over shelf life.
- Drive projects to optimize product designs, propose changes based on findings, and implement recommendations.
- Coordinate PL product demos with vendor promotions team.
- Achieve key financial metrics such as sales, margin, and Private Label penetration.
Packaging Design:
- Coordinate and manage packaging requirements and consistent “look” for all Private Label items with suppliers, design team, and Buyers.
- Coordinate with Compliance and Legal to ensure packaging meets all requirements for legal sale and import in operating countries.
- Review and approve Private Label artwork in the Marketing by Design workflow system.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum of 4 years food manufacturing or product development experience.
- Understanding of international food and non-food regulatory, registration and labeling requirements.
- Proven track record of success in product development process, from concept to commercialization.
- Ability to communicate and interact in a positive and pro-active manner.
- Ability to negotiate effectively.
- Highly organized and ability to successfully manage and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment.
- Motivated to learn items, product categories, and international logistics.
- Able to take direction and accomplish tasks with minimum supervision, accurately and meeting deadlines.
- Strong business acumen, advanced analytical skills, and demonstrated ability to use creative thinking to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
