Job Description

Wood has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Rotating Equipment Engineer with pumps experience, to join our team in Abu Dhabi, to work on FEED and EPC Projects.

Responsibilities

+ Supporting the selection of Pumps and Driver Configurations

+ Preparing reports on machinery selection

+ Preparation of data sheets for pumps and other rotating equipment

+ Preparation of project specifications

+ Preparation of material requisitions

+ Evaluation of vendor offerings

+ Review of vendor drawings and procedures to ensure compliance with specifications

+ Liaising with other engineering disciplines regarding the integration of equipment into overall plant design

+ Liaising with other Company Departments (including Project Management, Procurement , Cost and Planning, Inspection and Construction)

+ Support and contribution to Project Reviews (including HAZOP, Plot Plan, P&ID,Value Engineering and Constructability)

+ Provision of support and advice on rotating equipment matters

+ Degree in Mechanical Engineering

+ Extensive experience, primarily in a contracting environment, working with a range of pump types and duties and other rotating equipment on FEED and EPC projects for the oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical and related industries

+ Experience of pump, driver and seal selection

+ Flexible attitude, with good written and verbal communication skills

+ Familiarity with the following codes : API (610-619 Pumps / Compressors / Turbines ) ISO and ASME

+ Computer literate within Microsoft
