Parsons is now hiring a Principal Engineer who works on infrastructure projects that change the fabric of our community. We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills. In this role plan and design structures and facilities such as bridges, railroads, roads, airports, harbors, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines, tunnels, power plants and other projects. Analyzes proposed projects to ensure structural reliability, resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Performs a variety of engineering duties and may identify as sub-disciplines of Civil Engineering such as: geotechnical, municipal/urban, water resources, materials and/or coastal engineering.

Responsibilities:

Independently develops and/or supervises the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements. This includes defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status.

Act as the main point of contact within the design team for technical issues related to irrigation networks.

Collaborate with water network engineers, reviewing designs and calculations for all irrigation and water systems.

Create plans and designs for irrigation projects.

Plan and design irrigation fixtures to meet the specifications

Typical products may include detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.

Provides support for other engineering activities as required.

Supervise one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance.

Work as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate size project.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

Bachelor of Civil / Agriculture Engineering (emphasis in Landscape Irrigation / Horticulture)

Minimum 15 years experience in design, construction and supervision of Landscape and irrigation projects

Have full and complete knowledge of existing infrastructure Networks in the Emirates of Dubai

Can create the portfolio of design assessments, master plan for Irrigation projects.

Complete knowledge about Hydraulic analysis, Irrigation network Specifications , Material , Technology.

Thoughtful knowledge and work experience pipelines, connection Chambers and Pumping Station works, non-disruptive road crossings.

He must have strong knowledge about providing a comprehensive report for Irrigation network in citywide level.

Thorough knowledge and experience in the design of infrastructure works.

Well - versed in pipelines, connection Chambers and Pumping Station works, non-disruptive road crossings is required

Experience in dealing with emergency works and ability to deal with the Public and coordinate with various infrastructure Authorities related to the Projects

Exceptional articulate communication skills both verbal and written.

Experience advising client of best systems, materials, products and sustainability for irrigation/water feature systems
