The Amazon Web Services Partner Sales team is looking for a Principal Industry Strategist to develop and implement the Industry strategy for our portfolio of vertical solutions co-developed with our Global System Integrators (GSI) partners in EMEA. You will have the opportunity to join a very senior team, develop and implement the strategy that accelerates how the Field helps customers drive business outcomes with Industry Solutions from our top GSI partners. As the primary point of contact and subject matter expert in EMEA, you will work with cross-functional AWS teams and GSI partners and will play a key role in the success of multi-year plans with our most strategic GSI partners, evolving how AWS works with them in the region. Internally, you will be an advocate, acting on behalf of the Partner Sales organization to help drive change by identifying patterns and best practices that can be implemented to improve our Industry framework and go to market. Your broad responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, develop and implement the Industry strategy for our portfolio of vertical solutions co-developed with our GSI partners, drive business execution through AWS Partner and Sales teams and report against it. You will also be responsible for awareness and education of our solutions portfolio towards the AWS sales field and partner channel. The ideal candidate will have exceptional business development skill, a strong business acumen, broad industry knowledge across Finance/Manufacturing/Retail/Media/Energy, proven ability to strategize and implement high-impact plans and initiatives with large partners across multiple countries, strong leadership and communication skills, well organized, be able to think in new and creative ways, engage with business executives, work effectively across diverse and widespread teams to define, execute and manage an industry leading co-selling strategy for AWS GSI partner vertical solutions. As a natural born leader, you will have a strong talent for project coordination and delegation, with a strong self-driven attitude and affinity to solving problems with little direction. Key job responsibilities Design, develop and deliver on the go to market strategy and plan for our GSI Industry Solutions portfolio in EMEA. The strategy will include, but not be limited to, programs, enablement, marketing/industry events and strategic customer engagements in a sales overlay model. Work closely with Sales, Partner, Marketing and Industry teams to drive adoption of our GSI Industry Solutions portfolio, educating, influencing, knocking down barriers, and changing market perceptions to a significant degree. Become a trusted member of the Partner and Sales organizations in EMEA and be seen as the Industry Go To Market Expert Work closely with cross-functional AWS and GSI Sales, Partner Sales, Partner Development and Partner Solution Architect teams to ensure that they deliver on quality and on time according to each GSI Partner Sales Plan Drive Industry Plan execution and provide regular updates to Partner Sales and GSIs' Executives BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor degree 15+ years of relevant experience with leading IT companies 7+ years of relevant experience in Business Development/Solution Selling roles Relevant Industry experience in Finance, Manufacturing, Retail or Media and Entertainment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master's or PHD degree Ability to deal with high levels of ambiguity and organizational complexity Proven experience in driving business development across multiple countries in EMEA Proven experience in presenting and influencing senior leadership up to VP level Excellent business acumen Proven ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges yet staying on top of tactical execution Passion for innovation, be comfortable defining a way forward in the face of ambiguity, have the ability to scale and influence broadly, and as well as the ability to dive deep. Strong written and verbal communications are a must Ability to work independently, self-driven and able to solve problems with little to no direction
